The Remembering the Brave Foundation - Our Partner Organization
We are proud to be partnered with the Remembering the Brave Foundation, a non-profit, all-volunteer organization dedicated to preserving the memories of brave service members who made the ultimate sacrifice, and honoring their families in their time of enormous loss.
The Remembering the Brave Foundation was born from a conversation between a grief-stricken mother and the Casualty Assistance Officer who came to notify her of her son's heroic actions during the War on Terror. Through the grace of God, persistence, and the generous donations of their supporters, Remembering the Brave has kept its promise to forever remember the heroes who've made the ultimate sacrifice.
Since 2005, Remembering the Brave has held ceremonies across the nation honoring our brave service members. Additionally, they raise awareness through regional and national events such as Armed Forces Memorial Matches, the Run for Remembrance race, Remembering the Brave Golf Tournament, Kids Can Volunteer recycling program, attendance at scores of community events, and through Remembrance Scholarships established in the names of our fallen heroes.
In 2012, Remembering the Brave honored our heroes by honoring the children of the fallen at the Legacies of Valor Children’s Ceremony in Orlando, FL. This special ceremony united children with the members who served with their mothers and fathers for a special weekend of remembrance.
Remembering the Brave also hopes to continue adding to the Hall of Heroes Memorial - a life-size physical and virtual tribute designed to celebrate and preserve the lives of the men and women who laid down their lives for our freedom. Nearly 60 years passed before the World War II memorial was erected. By then, our memories had faded and the stories of these brave young men and women were lost. Their dream is to ensure that the names, faces, and deeds of our modern heroes are never forgotten. One-by-one Remembering the Brave has begun building a temporary traveling memorial and virtual web site so that their legacies are preserved.
