Location: Kent Island, MD Heroes Attended: 6 WHHC Guide: Christopher Rupp Outcome: The Wounded Heroes Hunting Camp was invited back to Kent Island, MD to fish aboard the Southern Belle Charters for another Memorial Day fishing adventure. Our Heroes had great luck and brought home 17 rock fish. WHHC Pro Staffer Chris Rupp and Hero Daniel Ramil dedicated this event to a great soldier, 1SGT Mark McCowan. Both Chris and Daniel met Mark at the 4th annual Reel American Heroes foundation fishing tournament in Stafford, Virginia. He was part of an elite fishing team from the 3rd Special Forces called the Special Forces Fishing Team. He was a great leader, soldier, father, and role model. He will be missed. Location: Delaware Technical Community College in Dover, DE Heroes Attended: 1 WHHC Guide: Christopher Rupp Outcome: Thank you to the Capital City Rotary Club, Dover, DE for their great flag display for Memorial Day at the Delaware Technical Community College. WHHC Guide Christopher Rupp visited the display to pay his respects to our fallen Heroes. Location: La Push, WA Heroes Attended: 2 WHHC Guide: Matthew Houston Outcome: The WHHC sent 2 Heroes out for a day of Halibut Fishing with Captain Marcus out of La Push, Washington. The Heroes had an action packed day and brought home a lot of fresh fish.
Location: North Side Sportsmen’s Association in Warrendale, PA Heroes Attended: 13 WHHC Guide: Christopher Rupp and Christopher Bird Outcome: The Wounded Heroes Hunting Camp hosted the 6th Annual Trap Shoot for Heroes this weekend. We had 13 WHHC alumni in attendance and were able to raise funds to support our upcoming outdoor adventures. A pre-event dinner on May 19th was held at Monte Cello’s restaurant in Wexford, PA for all of our Heroes. After the event, Ditka's Restaurant - Wexford hosted a Patio Party for our Wounded Hero in honor of Armed Forces Day! We had the privilege of hosting a very special guest, Congressman Keith Rothfus. The Congressman took the time out of his day to hear all about the WHHC as well as meet and shake the hands of all of the Wounded Heroes in attendance. A big thank you to our supporters, volunteers, Monte Cello’s Restaurant, Ditka's Restaurant, and Congressman Rothfus for making this a special event!

Wilderness Lodge in Hollidaysburg, PA Heroes Attended: 2 WHHC Guide: Tommy Belinda Outcome: This was our 5th annual Turkey hunt and we would like to thank property owners Tommy and Wendy Belinda for their continued support of the WHHC. The Heroes always have a great time and this year was no exception! Our Heroes gave it their all everyday but the turkeys did not cooperate.
Location: La Push, WA Heroes Attended: 2 WHHC Guide: Matthew Houston Outcome: The WHHC received a call from Marcus Totemeier on Tuesday asking for 2 Heroes to take Halibut Fishing on May 11th. Marcus is a combat injured Veteran himself and offered his boat and services to show the Heroes a good time. Everyone enjoyed a great day on the water and brought home some great fish to share with their families. Thank you Captain Marcus, the Heroes really enjoyed their time fishing with you!
