Location: Humptulips, WA Heroes Attended: 6 WHHC Guides: Matt Houston Outcome: Our Heroes enjoyed a 3 day Fall King and Coho Salmon float trip. They had a great time floating with Todd Logan from Adaptive Excursions on their custom handicap accessible Willie drift boat as well as fishing with Ryan from Got your 6 Fishing. The WHHC would like to thank both Todd and Ryan for donating this 3 day trip and for all the hard work they put in to show the Heroes a great time and for allowing the Heroes to bring a loved one to share the experience with. Location: Kent Island, MD Heroes Attended: 6 WHHC Guides: Christopher Rupp Outcome: Our Heroes arrived in Kent Island looking forward to an exciting fishing trip. The weather would not work in our favor and Captain Mike from the Southern Belle Charters would have to cancel the fishing. The Heroes were able to still meet up and enjoy a nice dinner together. Location: Dover International Speedway in Dover, DE Heroes Attended: 8 WHHC Guide: Chris Rupp Outcome: The Wounded Heroes Hunting Camp was invited back to the track for the Dover International Speedway's fall NASCAR race—the Apache Warrior 400. Our wounded combat veterans and their families enjoyed a great day of racing. We would like to give a special thank you to Timothy Horne, Senior Vice President of Dover Downs Gaming & Entertainment, for your continuous support! The WHHC also received the opportunity to set up a booth outside the race track located in the in the USO Delaware Military Appreciation Zone. We were able to meet new Heroes and find new WHHC supporters. The WHHC would like to also thank John Forester and Scott Perry for displaying their patriotic Mustangs at our booth. |
